Arcade Run

Terms of Use

Last updated October 24, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Eli Riedel ("we", "us"), the operator of the Arcade Run app and arcaderun.app. By downloading or using Arcade Run you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app. These terms work alongside Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"); where they differ, these terms apply to the extent the Apple EULA allows.

1. Physical activity and safety: please read

Arcade Run involves real physical exercise: jumping, squatting, running in place, quick sideways steps and reaching. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk.

Arcade Run is a game. It is not medical advice, a medical device, or a substitute for professional guidance. Calorie figures, active minutes and other numbers are estimates (calories use a published activity-intensity value (MET) × the body weight you enter × time played) and may not be accurate for you.

2. Using the app

You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree for you. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Arcade Run on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules. Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app, or interfere with its services.

3. Subscriptions

4. The camera and your content

Camera tracking runs on your device as described in our Privacy Policy; we don't receive your video. If you record a clip of your run with the in-app recorder, that clip is created by iOS on your device and is yours. You're responsible for what you record and share, including getting permission from anyone else who appears in it.

5. Changes and availability

We may add, change or remove games and features (including those shown as "coming soon", which we can't guarantee will be released) and may update these terms. If we make material changes to these terms we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

6. Disclaimers

Arcade Run is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Body tracking depends on lighting, distance, clothing and your device, and won't always detect every movement correctly.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any injury, loss or damage arising from physical activity while using the app, from your play environment, or from your failure to follow the safety guidance above. Our total liability for any claim relating to Arcade Run is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you; nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that rule applies.

8. Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is made against us because of your misuse of the app or breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and isn't responsible for any claims relating to the app (including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims); to the extent the law allows, any warranty failure is limited to Apple refunding the purchase price, if any. You confirm you're not in a country subject to a US government embargo and aren't on any US prohibited-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer living in the EU, UK or another country with mandatory consumer protections, you keep those protections and may bring claims in your local courts.
